Forklift Annual Safety Audits Are Necessary

Regulations have become more stringent and 2021 is facing more oversight by CalOSHA and other regulating agencies. Companies will be required to track forklift contracts and check when a safety audit was last conducted. Failure to do so could have big implications for both safety and compliance efforts and likely generate penalties.

Forklift Maintenance- #6 OSHA Top Ten Worst Violations

But did you know that more than one in ten forklifts is involved in an accident yearly? There are a variety of hazards commonly associated with forklifts, depending on the vehicle type and the workplace environment. Recent studies report that 95,000 employees are injured every year while operating forklifts while an average of 100 employees are fatally injured annually. Equipment maintenance or lack thereof plays big in these statistics.
